Waukegan Road to Bridge. The east and west lane pavements are substantially complete in this area. The contractor is working on the final grading, curb and gutter, driveways, and sidewalk. As soon as that work is complete, the pavement will be restriped and traffic will be adjusted. The contractor will then begin the final stage of center median and turn lane work. The traffic changeover is anticipated the week of June 15th.
Bridge to Happ. The contractor will continue to work on the signal and lighting foundations, brick sidewalk, curb and gutter, and driveway installations on the south side of the right of way. While that work is underway, traffic will remain on the north side of the right of way in the downtown area.
Happ Road Detour Alert. A week long detour is anticipated to commence, on the southern leg of the Happ/Central intersection. The contractor will be working to construct the left turn lanes and center intersection pavements. Traffic will be detoured to Northfield road but will also be able to access the downtown via Walnut. Eden’s to East Limits. Final sidewalk, curbs, and driveway installations are underway and will continue to occur in conjunction with other similar work along the corridor.
