For February 24 to March 7
The winter project work is moving ahead well and a lot of the utility work has already been completed. Over the next several weeks the following is planned:
- The contractor will be out today to fix the pot holes throughout the corridor.
- Early next week, two test pilings will be installed on the north side of the bridge. The test work is expected to be completed in one day and additional noise and possible vibrations are anticipated while the actual work is underway.
- Finally, NICOR will continue to work on their gas main work between Waukegan and Sunset Ridge Road; the storm sewer main is being installed between Wagner Road and the bridge; and the water main work will commence on Waukegan Road south of Willow.
All of the traffic staging for this work is already in place and no substantial delays are anticipated.
