Later this week, the Cook County Department of Transporation and Highways will begin construction work on Winnetka Avenue between Happ and the Edens Expressway. Winnetka Avenue will remain open to east and west bound traffic at all times. Detours will be put in place for the Frontage Road intersections in two phases:
Phase I. The northern half of Winnetka Avenue will be reconstructed from just east of Happ to the Edens Bridge. The northern intersection of Frontage Road and Winnetka Avenue will be closed.
