On Monday, September 22, 2014 NICOR will close the southern intersection of Willow Road and Northfield Road to relocate the gas main. The intersection will be closed for five days and will re-open on Saturday, September 27. Local traffic will be detoured east to Happ Road.

During the detour period the Village will:
- monitor the intersections, and will request signal timing adjustments, if needed, to minimize traffic backups;
- provide special Police patrols on local streets to reduce speeding and cut through traffic; and,
- ensure emergency responses routes are maintained to all part of the community for police, fire and ambulance access.
