The contractor is working on the Phase III center median and left turn lanes throughout the corridor. This includes pavement removal, curb and gutter installation, left turn pavement, permanent signage, traffic signal installation, pavement markings, and irrigation system installation. Signal work is continuing.
The signals at Waukegan Road have been activated and the ones at Three Lakes Drive are awaiting ComEd connections. The signal contractor is proceeding east along the corridor with the installation and will be working on Sunset Ridge and Wagner over the next two weeks. The permanent signals are planned to be activated once fully installed and then the contractor will remove the temporary devices. The final signal interconnect work will take place at the end of the project after all signals have been activated.
